Julianna Szatmari MS, RDN, CDN

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor by Evelyn Tribole, MS, RDN and Elyse Resch, MS, RD, CEDRD-S, FAND

Approach:

  • For decades, society has promoted low-fat, low-sugar, and low-calorie foods while reinforcing unrealistic standards of thinness and encouraging the pursuit of fad diets. As a result, many individuals have developed unhealthy relationships with food and eating.

Julianna approaches her work with honesty, empathy, and understanding. She openly shares her own experiences with diet culture, recognizing the social pressures and emotional challenges that often accompany it. This personal perspective allows her to connect with clients who may be facing similar struggles.

Through a non-diet approach, Julianna empowers clients to better understand their bodies’ unique needs, embrace intuitive eating principles, and cultivate a healthier, more balanced relationship with food. Her goal is to help individuals achieve their personal health and wellness objectives through a sustainable, intuitive eating framework rather than restrictive dieting practices.

Among Julianna’s greatest professional rewards is witnessing the growth and success of her clients. She is deeply grateful for the meaningful relationships she has built through her work at Intuitively Nourished and finds immense fulfillment in seeing clients apply the knowledge, tools, and strategies they have learned to create lasting, positive changes in their everyday lives.

Education:

  • Fueling Julianna’s passion for nutrition, she received a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition through Montclair State University, NJ. After graduating, Julianna then went on to continue her education through a combined masters/dietetic internship (MSDI) through Marywood University, PA and received a Master of Science in Nutrition. Upon receiving credentialing, Julianna immediately jumped into private practice to do what she loves- to help amazing people reach their goals and improve their health!

Hobbies:

  • When Julianna is not assisting individuals in their journey towards healing their relationship with food and achieving their personal health goals, she finds great joy in taking her sweet corgis, Rhea & Silas, for refreshing hikes in the beautiful outdoors. When not on adventures, Julianna enjoys cooking nourishing meals for her family and pups!
